The soprano who sang the role of Madeline in The Fall of the House of Usher, was a former Young Artist at Florida Grand Opera in 2006-07. I videorecorded her recital that season and gave her the DVD of it.

Lee Gregory, who sang the role of William in the opera, is the husband of soprano Kelly Kaduce, who opened the Florida Grand Opera season that very same Saturday night as Nedda in Pagliacci and Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica!

8 Days after that performance, on Sunday, November 22, I just happened to sit next to Lee at a performance of Pagliacci and Suor Angelica!

Google: Firms can ‘get rid’ of Office in a year

SINGAPORE–In a year, most enterprises will have the choice to “get rid of [Microsoft] Office if they chose to”, suggests Dave Girouard, president of Google’s enterprise division.

Girouard, one of the company’s four presidents including founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, said in an interview with ZDNet Asia that he expects Google’s online document application, Google Docs, to reach a “point of capability” next year that will serve the “vast majority’s needs”.
