Welcome to Nashville
“Music City USA” acquired its nickname not from country music fans but from fans of the “Fisk Jubilee Singers” on their world-wide tour in the 20th Century.
While Nashville is home to encyclopedic collections of country music history and memorabilia housed in The Country Music Hall of Fame, a walk across the street will bring you to a premiere acoustical venue for symphonic performances in the USA—-The Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
Just down the street is the headquarters of the Barbershop Quartet Society of America. You can check out recording studios for gospel and Christian music, the Nashville Jazz workshop, or slip into excellent musical performances at one of our seven local universities.
Strolling along Broadway to second and fourth avenues, live music surrounds you—everything from country to rock and jazz to hip-hop. Stroll across the bridge, view the Titans LP Stadium or the Predators Sommet Center—both venues for great musical events during the year.
The Nashville Music Scene, overflowing with talented musicians and performers, ensures a diversity of creative opportunities for Nashville Grand Opera while it presents a competitive atmosphere. Opera’s unique fan base demands superior productions and Nashville Opera delivers that—production after production.
We welcome you to Nashville! Join others from across the world who visit here and relate to each other in the universal language of music—–from Opera to the Opry.
Enjoy!
