Gerald Elijah Recognized for Volunteer Contributions to LA, OVI
Gerald Elijah, Volunteer Extraordinaire
Congratulations to Gerry Elijah for receiving The President’s Volunteer Service Award from the United States President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation. Gerry is a long-time member of the Opera League of Los Angeles and an active and invaluable member of the Board of Directors of Opera Volunteers International.
The award recognizes individuals and groups who have achieved a certain standard measured by the number of hours of service over a 12-month period or cumulative hours earned over the course of a lifetime. Opera Volunteers International is a certifying organization.
In this case, Gerald volunteered over 600 hours in the last twelve months. He will be presented with a personalized certificate, gold lapel pin and congratulatory letter from the President of the United States of America at the September OVI Conference in Los Angeles.
Thank you, Gerald, for volunteering your time to promote the advancement of opera and congratulations!
