Dr. Judy Lieb and Rebecca Bowne, Opera League of Los Angeles, will present OLLA’s Code of Conduct Contract and issues pertaining to volunteer recruitment, training, retention and what they do if and when the code is violated. They will also discuss insurance coverage for volunteers at onsite and offsite opera events.
Dr. Judy Lieb is a retired educator with 38 years of experience as a teacher, staff developer for a PBS station, college lecturer and school district office administrator for technology, media and libraries. Now she works part time as an educational technology consultant with the Orange County Department of Education in California.
Judy is currently the President of the Opera League of Los Angeles. She has been an active volunteer in the League’s boutique, artist services, community education, cast dinners and at many League events.
Rebecca Bowne turned to “active volunteerism” after 30 years in health care policy and administration and found an incredible life with Opera League of Los Angeles. She worked as a volunteer in the administrative offices for ten years, as well as serving on the League Board for nine years, primarily in fundraising (luxury drawing, production campaigns and opera boutique), and as President.
Recently she chaired the OVI – League Conference in Los Angeles.
